We spent the last few months getting parts together... curtains, closet organizers and picking a color for the other walls since we only agreed to a turquoise accent wall... not sure we could handle a turquoise room! Other people got into the room decor and my brother Andres got her peel and stick flowers for her walls and Anita and Dave got a little window AC unit for her room.
The work kicked off the weekend that the DeCourvals came to visit. Dave helped me prep the walls, patch holes and cracks and repair all the bad past paint jobs. Novali was evicted and was sleeping in our room... plus with no AC she enjoyed staying in our much cooler room anyways.
It was a lot of work... and as usual turned in a If You Give A Mouse A Cookie situation... then we need new closet shelves, then some curtain rods, then new posters, etc. We still re-purposed and used all of her old furniture.
So here are a few pictures of the finished project. More before, after and project pictures on the link below.

Thanks to everyone who pitched in on the project with gifts or time. She is a happy camper and lets home she doesn't watch some crazier color next time!
